INVESTMENT HIGHLIGHTS

At CORE & Partners, we’re very selective about the type of investment opportunities that we offer to our clients. We’re looking for investments that are recession resistant, entrepreneurial driven, and in high growth service industries. So with that in mind, we found a niche in the healthcare industry, specifically in the field of dentistry. Dentistry is one of the most profitable sectors in North America, and that’s primarily due to the increase in dental support organizations or DSO for short.

Dentistry continues to be one of the most profitable industries in North America, with the DSO (Dental Service Organization) model rapidly gaining traction year over year. DSOs like The Dental Group are independent business support systems that contract with and purchase dental practices to provide business management services like billing, IT, marketing, human resources, payroll, and accounting.

Core and Partners is pleased to introduce you to a new investment vehicle called the Core Healthcare Services Trust. It allows investors the opportunity to invest in healthcare-themed investments such as Dental Support Organizations. The mandate of the fund is to grow a number of dental practices and related services as opportunities arise like the one in Toronto called the Dental Group. We can achieve this by partnering with the dentist or starting a practice from the ground up.

Canada’s dental care market was valued at $2.87 Billion in 2022 and is estimated to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.4% from 2022 to 2030 and will reach $4.72 Bn in 2030.

5 REASONS TO INVEST

The Dental Industry is Historically Insulated from Market Fluctuations

Dental investments offer a unique diversification benefit as the industry has been resilient during economic downturns. Data shows us that “adults’ propensity to seek dental care is only impacted when wealth decreases by greater than 50%.” In fact, the data shows the utilization of dental insurance benefits (and thus dental revenues) actually increases substantially during a recession. The dental industry is also largely funded by health insurance companies making it a stable asset class.

Private Equity is Hot on Corporate Dentistry

As the industry continues to consolidate, investors see the profitability with economies of scale that The Dental Group management can bring to individual practices. DSOs are one of the fastest-growing healthcare sectors in North America

Dentists are Joining Dental Groups at a Rising Rate

In the United States, it’s estimated that 30% are already run by corporate dentistry. Here in Canada, we only have between 3 to 5% penetration leaving the market still very much underserved.

Investment capital to develop Cutting-Edge technology

From 3D printing to artificial intelligence, and even the latest in surgical procedures. These cutting-edge treatments attract clients, deliver positive outcomes and result in favourable returns.

Alternative Private Investments Offer Flexibility

Whether we acquire a practice, partner with the dentist or develop a practice from the ground up. Staying private provides dentists with the confidence that they will still have clinical autonomy and a good culture for their practice.

TARGET LOCATIONS

The initial focus would be to create a footprint of offices located in the Greater Toronto Area and the Greater Golden Horseshoe area. Each dental office will provide comprehensive care in one convenient location including general and cosmetic dentistry as well as surgical procedures.

creating dental destinations

Our welcoming spa-like atmosphere and highly skilled dental professionals will make patients look forward to seeing their dentists.
